GQA was responsible for masterplanning the Althorp Estate to receive the Princess Diana Memorial Museum. Not only did it involve the restoration and conversion of the Grade II* Stables, but also significant alterations to the historic landscape to accommodate visitors to the Garden to view "the Island Mausoleum". The 18th Century Corinthian Temple, the Brew House and other garden buildings were repaired and restored as part of the development.

Commissioned by the Right Honourable Earl Spencer, this project involved the restoration and conversion of the Grade II* Stable Block into a new museum, celebrating the life of Princess Diana. We also undertook extensive landscape alterations, and the construction of a new lavatory block for 2,500 visitors per day.
