Woodcote Park in Surrey has been one of the Royal Automobile Club's clubhouses since the Edwardian Era. Standing at the entrance to the estate is an 18th century barn. GQA lead the team to transform this neglected barn into a motoring heritage centre, events space and workshop.

Our careful restoration included the insertion of a pair of contemporary mezzanines, overhauling the pantile roof, and improving access. The project was awarded the title of Overall Winner at the Surrey Heritage Awards in 2017.

The judges commented on the sympathetic and honest nature of the works, in-keeping with its status as a barn, whilst providing it with a beneficial use to secure its future.
