Archie is an architect with degrees in Environmental Conservation and in Islamic Architecture. For 20 years he worked on a wide range of archaeological, architectural and restoration projects in the Middle East beginning in 1968 as Architect to the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem.

    Based in London since 1987, he has been associated with Giles Quarme and Associates on projects in the UK since 1989. In 1998 they were the lead Consultants on the Princess Diana Memorial Museum created by her brother, the Earl Spencer.

    Archie retired from GQA in 2014, but continues to work with the practice as a consultant.
