Having qualified as an architect from Oxford Brookes University, Martin has worked in Italy, USA and Asia working mostly on historic buildings and new buildings within historic settings. He completed a MA in Vernacular Architecture which took him around the world studying local vernacular architecture traditions in different regions.

    He has been with GQA since 2006 and has since gained specialist knowledge of traditional and sympathetic solutions for extensions and renovations of existing buildings. He is well versed in construction detailing. He was job architect for a project for two large speculative houses in the Hampstead Garden Suburb, from inception/planning stage to completion on site.

    Martin was responsible for the production of planning drawings for a large country club in the Epsom Downs and for a number of large high-end residential dwellings.

    More recently, he has been project architect for a grade II* listed London house, responsible for job from inception to tender stage.
