We are excited to reveal images of the proposals for our project at Paisley Museum in Scotland, where we have been working alongside AL_A and Arup. The beautiful Victorian museum building, which was designed by John Honeyman, is in need of sensitive conservation and improvements to provide access for all, and better gallery spaces for the museum’s outstanding collection. The site includes the Category A museum, dating back to the 1860s, and the Coats Observatory, which was built in 1880. The project will include a beautiful new glazed extension, and will see historic interiors revealed for the first time in many decades.

We began working on this collaborative project in 2018, following an international design competition. The project is due to complete in 2021.
