GQA led the restoration of this early Georgian terrace house in London. The property is Grade II* listed and falls within the boundary of the Smith Square Conservation Area just outside the Westminster World Heritage Site boundary.

Our brief was to update the property to provide a comfortable family home in a way that protects and enhances the building’s historic interiors. We were also asked to improve the building’s thermal performance not compromising the house’s fabric. The project has also included the demolition of  the 1930’s rear extension and garage and the construction of a rear single-storey extension with a landscaped garden in order to accommodate a new kitchen and dining room.
